Marlene Quintana Elected President of the Board of Directors of Miami Bridge

MIAMI, FL - July 6, 2016 - Attorney Marlene Quintana, a shareholder in GrayRobinson's Miami law firm office, was elected president of the board of directors of Miami Bridge Youth + Family Services, Inc., effective July 1, 2016. Quintana has faithfully served as a member of the board of directors for several years and chairs the organization’s annual gala.

"Our youth and staff are thrilled that Marlene Quintana was named as newly elected President of the Board. She has worked tirelessly for the youth of our agency, who arrive with issues related to truancy, homelessness and human trafficking, to name a few. Marlene continues to make her mark on the community by chairing our annual gala, which raises much needed funds to provide for these youth, while bringing attention to the mission of this agency: "to promote positive youth development and strengthen and support families to enable children to actualize their full potential to become productive community members," said Dorcas Wilcox, CEO, Miami Bridge Youth + Family Services, Inc.

Marlene has reached out to the community to assist a particular child or family in need a number of times during her service to the organization. Last year, through her assistance, the organization was able to send a youth to Rice University’s Law School in Houston, Texas for a week-long seminar. This youth, who had never been out of the state of Florida, graduated from high school this year and was given a full scholarship to Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) in Tallahassee.

Miami Bridge works to rescue youth from lives of victimization and crime and provides them with structure in a stable and nurturing environment. Annually, Miami Bridge shelters more than 600 children and teens and provides counseling to more than 550 families. Read more about Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services, Inc.
