GrayRobinson Welcomes National Food and Agriculture Attorney Jana Caracciolo to Regulated Products Section

TAMPA, Fla. – GrayRobinson today announced Jana Caracciolo has joined the firm’s Regulated Products Section in the Tampa office, where she will help alcohol beverage and food law clients comply with complex food laws and regulations.

Caracciolo is a knowledgeable counselor on federal, state, and local regulations impacting food production, distribution, marketing, and consumption. She excels in providing legal counsel and compliance guidance to farmers, ranchers, producers, processors, distributors, and retailers on compliance issues with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), as well as various state agencies’ requirements on food safety, food and beverage labeling and packaging, and product development. Caracciolo has extensive experience regarding food labeling regulations, interpretations, and safety-related issues. Before joining GrayRobinson, she was a staff attorney at the National Agricultural Law Center, researching and analyzing food safety and labeling issues. Caracciolo gained additional industry experience interning at the Harvard Law School Food Law and Policy Clinic and the USDA Office of the General Counsel.

Caracciolo received her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida (UF) Levin College of Law and her Bachelor of Science in Food and Resource Economics from UF. She is currently pursuing her Master of Law in Food and Agricultural Law at the University of Arkansas. Caracciolo was a UF College of Agricultural and Life Sciences Ambassador Program member and, before her college career, served as the 2014-2015 Area III state vice president for the Florida FFA Association (formerly known as the Future Farmers of America).
