Veteran Labor and Employment Litigator and Trial Lawyer Frank E. Brown Joins GrayRobinson

TAMPA, Fla. – GrayRobinson today announced Frank E. Brown has joined its Labor and Employment Section as of counsel in the Tampa office, where he will handle employment, employee benefits, and civil rights claims at the trial and appellate court levels.

Brown has 35 years of experience in labor and employment law and civil rights litigation, including Section 1983 claims and Voting Right Act claims. Brown is well-versed in wage and hour, complex unemployment, and Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) claims, including withdrawal liability.

Prior to joining GrayRobinson, Brown led the Reemployment Assistance Appeals Commission, the quasi-judicial administrative appellate body serving as the highest administrative tribunal for Florida unemployment claims, from 2013 to 2022. 

Brown received his Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is admitted to practice in Florida; the United States District Court for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida; the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals; and the U.S. Supreme Court. He has been Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law since 2001. Among many professional accolades he has received, Brown was honored in 2020 with the Lifetime Achievement Award from The Florida Bar Labor and Employment Law Section.
