Orlando, Fla. – GrayRobinson today announced Ty Jackson achieved board certification in State and Federal Government and Administrative Practice and William McFetridge achieved board certification in Construction Law by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education, effective August 1, 2021.
Jackson, shareholder in the Tallahassee office, represents entities and individuals in a broad range of administrative, complex civil litigation and consulting matters. He has experience representing clients before agency boards, at administrative hearings, in state and federal courts, and before Florida’s legislative and executive branches. Jackson received his juris doctorate from the Florida State University College of Law.
McFetridge, shareholder in the Tampa office, represents public and private owners and engineering firms, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in disputes involving infrastructure improvements, litigation of various claims, breach of contract actions, bid protests and related procurement disputes, and contract negotiation and drafting. He has significant experience handling litigation in federal and state courts throughout Florida, particularly including alternative dispute resolution matters. McFetridge received his juris doctorate from the University of Georgia School of Law.
Board certification recognizes lawyers’ special knowledge, skills, and proficiency in various areas of law and professionalism and ethics in practice. Florida’s legal ranks feature over 5,000 board-certified lawyers, offering expertise in 27 areas of law. Certification is a voluntary program for lawyers, approved by The Florida Supreme Court and administered by The Florida Bar.
