Tallahassee, Fla. – November 10, 2020 – Litigation Attorney Leonard Collins, shareholder in GrayRobinson’s Tallahassee law firm office, was interviewed on WFLA AM Tampa Bay segment "Florida’s Amendment 2." Collins joined AM Tampa Bay to discuss Florida's Amendment 2, which would raise the state's minimum wage to $15. "The minimum wage will rise in September of 2021 from what it is now at $8.56 to $10 an hour and then it will progressively increase every year by $1 until you get to $15 an hour," explained Collins. "It’s going to impact small businesses and even large business and force some businesses to reconsider how they hire." He explained that the Florida Legislature likely is going to pass an implementing bill addressing how the state will apply the amendment and addressing potential impacts.
