Founded in 1985, the Miami-Dade Beacon Council, a public-private partnership, is the official economic development organization for Miami-Dade County. The organization facilitates business growth and expansion locally, nationally, and internationally. The mission of the Banking and Finance Industry Committee is to further develop the financial industry in Miami-Dade County by supporting the economic development, financial, recruitment, expansion, and retention programs. The International Advisory Committee provides strategic guidance and support for the Miami-Dade Beacon Council's ongoing efforts to attract, retain, and expand job-creating Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) by promoting Miami-Dade County as a global business destination for the Americas and beyond.
