Chief Marketing Officer

GrayRobinson, a full-service law and government consulting firm with 15 offices in Florida and Washington, D.C., has an immediate opening for a Chief Marketing Officer based in one of our Florida office locations. This position reports to the President and CEO. The Chief Marketing Officer works with firm leaders to develop and implement client development strategies and leads a team of client development professionals to support the firm’s shareholders in driving revenue while building the firm’s reputation across industry and geographic markets. 

The essential duties and responsibilities for this position include:

  • Developing and implementing a strategic business plan to guide the efforts of the Client Development Department
  • Leading and inspiring a team of professionals, including coaching multiple direct reports and their staff, through complex situations
  • Assisting the firm’s President and CEO in driving systemic change to enhance collaboration and communication across practices and offices
  • Interfacing with firm leadership to solicit and review feedback on strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improving the firm’s client development efforts
  • Collaborating with accounting, human resources, and information technology department leaders to develop and implement cross-department initiatives

The successful candidate must have 15 years or more experience of increasing responsibility in a law firm environment, preferably an AmLaw 200 law firm, and have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are a must.  Demonstrated project and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines under pressure in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment is required. Necessary computer skills include Microsoft Office 2016, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
