Lauren A. Baio Attorney At Law
Lauren focuses her practice on general and insurance litigation, government, land use, and contract procurement and negotiations with government agencies on public infrastructure projects. Additionally, Lauren practices bankruptcy where she primarily represents businesses, financial institutions, and governmental entities in chapter 7, 13, and 11 proceedings. Her experience also includes contract disputes and debt workouts.
Lauren grew up in New Hampshire and moved to Winter Park, Florida, to attend Rollins College. She graduated from Rollins with her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law where she focused her studies in bankruptcy.
Prior to becoming an Associate at GrayRobinson, Lauren practiced insurance defense in Tampa, Florida, as an in-house Trial Attorney for Allstate. During law school, she served as an Extern for the Department of Justice Office of the U.S. Trustee, and as a Judicial Extern to Chief Judge Michael G. Williamson at the United States Bankruptcy Court Middle District of Florida.
In addition to being involved in several professional associations, Lauren is an active member of the community by serving as a mentor to Stetson Law Review students, and as a practice bankruptcy judge for the Duberstein Moot Court Competition. She also founded the Stetson Law Transfer Scholarship to aid incoming transfer students in their transition to a new academic setting. During her free time, Lauren enjoys playing basketball, doing yoga, and fishing.
