Frank Shepherd Discusses Election Law in the Daily Business Review

Miami, Fla. – October 20, 2020 – GrayRobinson, P.A. (GrayRobinson) Attorney Frank A. Shepherd, shareholder in GrayRobinson’s Miami law firm office, was quoted in the Daily Business Review article, "Lawyers Who Litigated 'Bush v. Gore' Weigh Potential Pitfalls as Biden Faces Trump in 2020 Election." The article discusses ways in which South Florida lawyers say the current election climate is reminiscent of the litigation battle in the 2000 election between then-candidates George W. Bush and Albert A. Gore Jr.

In the article, Shepherd says, "the election laws in 2000 were not precise because there had rarely been a major election controversy before that one. But since then, there has been an effort to anticipate every scenario that could complicate the results of an election."

The article concludes by pointing out that "even the most recent litigation might not address scenarios that could arise from a global pandemic, such as the coronavirus, leading to the possibility of litigation following this year’s presidential election."
