GrayRobinson’s Kim McDougal Voted to Serve on Florida Education Legislative Liaisons Board of Directors

Florida Education Legislative Liaisons | June 14, 2021

GrayRobinson Education Lobbyist Kim McDougal, senior government affairs consultant in the Tallahassee office, was voted to the Florida Education Legislative Liaisons (FELL) Board of Directors for the 2021-2022 term.

FELL was created in 1994 by a group of school district staff who recognized the political landscape in Tallahassee and in Washington, D.C., was changing and public education increasingly was impacted by policy changes at the state and federal levels. FELL is now well-known in the halls of the Capitol and for 27 years has ensured the voices of their school districts are heard.

McDougal is known for her nearly three decades of experience serving in multiple leadership roles within the executive and legislative branches of Florida’s government. Most recently, she successfully advocated for funding for building a new elementary/middle school in a rural school district, permitting school buses to be paid for by impact fees, changes to the K-12 accountability system due to the pandemic, and creating a panic alert system for K-12 students.
