GrayRobinson’s Luis Rivera today has been appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to the Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) Board of Trustees (BOT); he is among six appointees of the Governor to join the 13-member trustee board. The BOT serves as the governing body of FGCU. It selects the FGCU president and holds the president responsible for the university’s operation and management, performance, fiscal accountability, and compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, including those of the Board of Governors. Rivera is an astute litigator with extensive experience counseling clients in business litigation, bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, and insolvency.
