GrayRobinson’s Kelly Garcia Reappointed to The Florida Bar Federal Court Practice Committee

Orlando, Fla. – April 30, 2021 – GrayRobinson’s Kelly J.H. Garcia, shareholder in the Orlando office, has been reappointed to The Florida Bar Federal Court Practice Committee for a three-year term. The Federal Court Practice Committee serves as the Bar’s liaison to the federal courts, federal bar organizations in Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Judicial Conference, and others interested in federal practice. As a member of the committee, Garcia will distribute to Bar members proposed changes to the federal rules, including local rules for federal courts in Florida, and publish the Guide to Judicial Practices in Florida’s Federal Courts, which describes the practices of individual federal judges in all three Districts and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She will also take part in maintaining the Federal Corner on the Bar’s website, and hosting the Federal Judicial Roundtable at the annual meeting of the Florida Bar.

Garcia’s practice focuses on litigating complex business disputes, ERISA benefits matters and appeals in state and federal courts. Her business litigation practice encompasses a wide range of disputes, including breach of contracts and security agreements, tortious interference, trade secrets, non-compete violations, shareholder and partner disputes, asset recovery and loan repurchase obligations. She is also a member of The Florida Bar’s Appellate Practice Section, and is a Certified as a Circuit Court Civil Mediator.
