In the article, Quinter and Thoni discusses the current state of the global personal protective equipment (PPE) market during the COVID-19 pandemic. The authors cover the many hurdles and challenges that exist including the disparity between need and availability that has created a market allowing counterfeit, poor quality, and out-of-date products to enter the supply chain.
