John P. Thomas Joins GrayRobinson’s Growing National Alcohol Beverage Practice

Tampa, Fla. – GrayRobinson’s national alcohol beverage practice today announced Attorney John P. Thomas has joined its growing team in the Tampa, Fla., office. Thomas can be reached at john.thomas@gray-robinson.com.

"We are thrilled John will be officially joining our Nationwide Alcohol Industry Group here at GrayRobinson," said GrayRobinson Shareholder Richard Blau, who leads the firm’s Alcohol Beverage and Food Law Department.  "Having served as a law clerk at the firm for the past year, John will be a great addition to our growing team. John’s background in research and analysis combined with his experience with a U.S. District Court and state agency during his time in law school will make him a valuable asset to our clients.  This is an exciting and transformative time for our Alcohol Law team and for the industry. John is the fourth associate-level attorney we’ve added to our team in just the last six months."

Thomas, who has served as a law clerk in the firm’s national alcohol beverage practice since September 2020, will continue his focus within the practice area as he moves into his role as an associate and builds his practice.

"I couldn’t be more excited and honored to be joining GrayRobinson and the extremely talented attorneys in the national alcohol beverage practice," said Thomas. "I have already learned so much in my short time here as a law clerk, and couldn’t think of a better place I’d rather start my legal career than with our team and valued clients here at GrayRobinson. I’m eager to get to work and continue to learn from some of the very best alcohol beverage lawyers in the nation."

In Spring 2019, Thomas was chosen as a member of Class XV of the Florida Gubernatorial Fellows program and spent his final year of law school in Tallahassee, Fla., serving in the Office of the Secretary for the Florida Department of Management Services. Before serving in this role, he was a senior judicial intern at the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida for the Honorable Amanda Arnold Sansone. Thomas also gained experience in the software industry before attending law school, conducting user experience research and analysis for a software startup in Tampa, Fla.  Thomas holds a juris doctorate and a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications Management from the University of Florida.
