Labor and Employment E-lert: DOL Notice and FAQ - Families First Coronavirus (COVID-19) Response Act

The Department of Labor has issued the anticipated Notice/Poster to be displayed by covered employers to inform employees of the leave entitlements under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. The Notice must be posted in a conspicuous place where such notices are customarily posted. The DOL also issued an FAQ for the posting requirements which provides additional information including posting the notice for remote workers.

The reference in the Notice to the $12,000 cap refers to the total of cap: $10,000 cap for the 10 weeks of paid Emergency FMLA leave; $2,000 cap for the 2 weeks (up to 80 hours) of paid Emergency Paid Sick Leave.
