GR Lobbying Team Assists Client in Obtaining $4 Million Grant from Governor’s Job Growth Grant Fund

ORLANDO, FL – January 16, 2019 –GrayRobinson attorney and government consultant Christopher T. Dawson, along with Robert F. Stuart, Jr. and Christopher L. Carmody, Jr., recently helped secure $4 million from Florida’s Job Growth Grant Fund for Firm client Orlando Melbourne International Airport. The Airport was one of only a handful of public entities to receive the funding. The dollars will be used to construct a Ground Run-up Enclosure (GRE) at the airport to be used for noise damping during jet engine testing and repair. This critical piece of infrastructure will assist the airport in retaining and attracting new tenants in their blossoming aerospace industry cluster in Melbourne.

The Florida Job Growth Grant Fund was started by past Florida Governor Rick Scott and provides funding to public infrastructure and workforce training programs. Funds from the grant fund were awarded through a highly competitive public grant program.
