GrayRobinson Aids in Major Win for Centerplate

ORLANDO, FL – November 5, 2018 – A team of GrayRobinson attorneys and consultants comprised of Robert F. Stuart, Jr., Christopher L. Carmody, Jr.Thomas J. Wilkes and others successfully secured overwhelming approval by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners for a renewed Orange County Convention Center food service contract with our client Centerplate. Centerplate is a hospitality company providing food and beverage service to entertainment venues across the U.S. and U.K that has held the contract at the Orange County Convention Center for the last 10 years.

On Tuesday, October 24th, Orange County Commissioners voted between Centerplate and Levy Restaurants for an up-to 11 year contract as the sole food-service provider at the Orange County Convention Center. In a 5-1 vote, Centerplate and the GrayRobinson team prevailed, allowing for a continuation of its previous ten-year contract with the Convention Center. With the planned $500-million expansion of the center planned for completion in 2021, Centerplate will continue to grow alongside them.
