GrayRobinson Boosts Orlando Litigation Practice with Addition of Kelly J. H. Garcia and T. Todd Pittenger

ORLANDO, FL – Dec. 12, 2017GrayRobinson announces the addition of Orlando-based litigators Kelly J. H. Garcia and T. Todd Pittenger. Garcia and Pittenger join the firm as shareholders and bring decades of litigation experience. They were previously both equity partners at Akerman LLP.

Garcia focuses her practice on complex business disputes and appeals in state and federal courts. Her litigation practice consists of a variety of business disputes, including breach of contracts and security agreements, tortious interference, trade secrets, non-compete violations, shareholder and partner disputes, asset recovery, and loan repurchase obligations. In addition, she counsels clients on handling a wide range of appeals in both state and federal appellate courts and has represented plan administrators and plan fiduciaries in ERISA benefits litigation and appeals in federal court. Active in the legal community, Garcia is the immediate past president of the Orlando chapter of the Federal Bar Association and serves as a member of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee.

She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her law degree from Duke University School of Law.

Pittenger boasts nearly three decades of experience handling a wide range of business litigation matters. He represents businesses and individual clients in complex state and federal court litigation throughout the state of Florida and focuses his practice on state business court litigation, federal civil litigation, class action defense and intellectual property litigation. Pittenger is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Business Litigation, a Fellow for the Litigation Counsel of America, Martindale-Hubbell AV rated since 1998, and has been listed in Best Lawyers in America since 2008. Active in the community, he currently serves as vice-chair of the board of directors for the Coalition for the Homeless in Central Florida and is a past president of the Orlando chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

He earned his undergraduate degree from Rollins College and his law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
