David Hendrix Elected University of Tampa Family Association Board Chair

TAMPA, FL – June 26, 2017David S. Hendrix, shareholder and chair of GrayRobinson’s banking and finance practice group, has been named chair of the University of Tampa Family Association Board for a two-year term.

The University of Tampa Family Association serves to establish, maintain and enhance communication between families and the University of Tampa community. The leadership group of the Family Association is an exclusive group of parents and family members who are provided the opportunity to become involved with the university and participate in a meaningful way in the educational experience of University of Tampa students. The Council is a small group of University of Tampa parents who facilitate the advancement of the university by serving as ambassadors, providing feedback on our activities and communications, and providing philanthropic support. Members come from various backgrounds and regions and can serve for the duration of their student's enrollment at University of Tampa.

Hendrix founded and chairs GrayRobinson’s banking and finance practice group, which represents over 65 banks in the areas of litigation, transactions, creditors’ rights, special assets and regulatory compliance. Hendrix and his team handle excess liability and "Bet the Company" litigation, class action defense and finance litigation. His trial experience in federal and state courts include more than 100 jury trials and hundreds of non-jury trials, mediations and arbitrations on behalf of large financial institutions, state and local government entities, medium to small businesses and individuals. Hendrix routinely handles bank deposit litigation matters, consumer actions against financial institutions, UCC actions and has significant BSA/AML litigation and consulting experience.
