FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – June 2, 2017 – Attorney Donald S. Showalter, a shareholder in GrayRobinson’s Fort Lauderdale law firm office, received the Boy Scouts of America South Florida Council’s 2016 Silver Beaver Award on May 21, 2017. Showalter, who currently serves on the executive board, has served with the Council since 2010. This recognition, the highest a Scout Council can bestow, is awarded to those who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the council. The South Florida Council is the local chapter of the Boy Scouts of America and offers year-round programs created to develop character, citizenship, leadership, life skills and fitness in youth. The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
