ORLANDO, FL – July 26, 2016 – Attorney Christopher L. Carmody, Jr., shareholder in GrayRobinson’s Orlando law firm office, was recently elected as chair of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) for the July 2016-2017 term. Carmody has served on the Ninth Judicial Circuit JNC since 2013. The JNC is a nonpartisan nine-member commission of lawyers and non-lawyers who locate, recruit, investigate and evaluate applicants for judicial office. The Supreme Court, appellate districts, and circuit JNCs are appointed by the Governor, four members are appointed from separate lists of three nominees certified to the Governor by the Board of Governors of The Florida Bar.
