Governor Rick Scott Appoints William G. McCormick to Seventeenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL -- February 13, 2012 -- William G. McCormick, a shareholder in the Fort Lauderdale office of GrayRobinson, P.A., has been appointed to the Seventeenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission by Florida Governor Rick Scott for a term ending July 1, 2014. As a member of the commission, he will assist in the selection of public officials for various federal, judicial and law enforcement positions. "Appointment to this commission is a huge honor and we applaud William's accomplishment in joining this elite group," said GrayRobinson President Byrd F. With more than 15 years of experience, McCormick concentrates his diverse legal practice in construction, land use and real estate related matters, as well as general commercial litigation. He has represented owners and contractors in construction defect, construction lien and delay claims. Additionally, his practice includes working with banking institutions in commercial foreclosure and loan workout matters, as well as homeowners and condominium associations in covenant enforcement, assessment collection and general association governance issues. McCormick has bar admissions in Florida and the District of Columbia, and is a member of the Broward County Bar Association, Dean's Board of Advisors at St. Thomas University School of Law, The Florida Bar and the American Bar Association. He received his juris doctorate from St. Thomas University School of Law, and his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. |
