GrayRobinson's Scott L. Cagan Honored as Super Lawyers "Top 100 Miami Florida"

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - December, 17, 2012 - Scott L. Cagan , a shareholder in the Fort Lauderdale office of GrayRobinson, P.A., has been honored with top recognition in the legal profession, Super Lawyers' 2012 "Top 100 Miami Florida." Each year, Super Lawyers select attorneys for this honor using a rigorous multi-phased rating process. Selectees receive the honor by ranking at the very top of the Super Lawyers Lists after completion of the state or region's peer nomination, independent research and Blue Ribbon Panel review process.

With more than 20 years of experience, Cagan has successfully represented clients before the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Second, Eighth and Eleventh Circuits.

A member of The Florida Bar, Cagan received an "AV" rating from Martindale-Hubbel. He is also admitted in New York and New Jersey, as well as U.S. District Courts, including the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, and U.S. Courts of Appeal (including the Eleventh Circuit). He served as a judicial clerk for Hon. Lenore C. Nesbitt, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Florida.

For six consecutive years, Florida Super Lawyers recognized Cagan as one of the top 5 percent of practicing attorneys in the state for his accomplishments in the labor and employment fields. He has been named five consecutive times "Florida's Legal Elite" by Florida Trend magazine for his achievements in the commercial litigation field. Cagan is also the consulting author and lead editor of a two-volume publication entitled Judgments in Federal Court by West Publishing, which provides guidance to practitioners on a variety of substantive and procedural issues encountered in federal court.

Cagan received his juris doctorate from New York Law School with high honors and his undergraduate degree from Lehigh University.
