GrayRobinson Shareholder Leyza F. Blanco Named a 2012 Key Partner
MIAMI -- November 27, 2012 -- Leyza F. Blanco, a shareholder in the Miami office of GrayRobinson, P.A., has been named a 2012 Key Partner by the South Florida Business Journal & LINQ Financial Group. The Key Partners Awards honor South Florida's top attorneys and accountants based on their achievements and success during the previous 18 months. This year's selected recipients will be profiled in the South Florida Business Journal on Nov. 9 and recognized on Nov. 15 at a cocktail reception. "A Key Partner is someone who is well-respected by their clients for strong legal guidance, but also sets an example of leadership and service within the community - and no one exemplifies that more than Leyza," said GrayRobinson President Byrd "Biff" Marshall, Jr. "She couldn't be more deserving of this prestigious award and we congratulate her on this accomplishment." Blanco focuses her practice at GrayRobinson on a wide range of litigation and insolvency matters, including out-of-court workouts, debt restructuring and representation of creditors, receivers, assignees, trustees and debtors in bankruptcy and complex commercial real estate matters on both a state and federal courts level. She holds memberships to a number of professional organizations, including The Florida Bar's Business Law Section, The American Bar Association, The Dade County Bar Association, The Hispanic National Bar Association, The American Bankruptcy Institute, and The Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida where from 2006-2007 she served as president. She is also the immediate past chair of the Judicial Liaison Committee and the Bankruptcy/UCC Committee. An active member of the South Florida community, Blanco has received numerous awards and recognitions such as Business Leader's "Woman Extraordinaire Award" and the South Florida Legal Guide's "Top Lawyer" award. She was also named as one of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's "Outstanding 40 Under 40 Lawyers of Miami-Dade" in 2010, a Florida "Super Lawyer" the past three consecutive years (recognized as a "Rising Star" in 2009), and selected as a Florida Trend "Legal Elite" the past five consecutive years(recognized as an "Up and Comer" in 2007). Blanco received both her juris doctorate and undergraduate degree from the University of Miami.
