Community Leader Forum - Lakeland - Nan Hillis (11/12/09)

LAKELAND, Fla. (November 12, 2009) - BB&T's Central Florida's regional president Nan Hillis made it clear that the bank's presence in Polk County is not diminishing anytime soon.

Hillis addressed a crowd of 90 central Florida community and business leaders Thursday at the GrayRobinson Community Leader Forum. With no prior presence in Polk County before acquiring Colonial Bank in August, BB&T now has 12 branches in the county.

Hillis oversees 57 branches in Polk, Osceola, Orange, Seminole, Brevard and a section of Lake counties.

Through its Community Leader Forums, GrayRobinson brings together clients, attorneys and friends of the firm to hear high-profile business and community leaders and elected officials discuss issues of importance to the state of Florida.
