Resnick Emcees Florida League of Cities Past Presidents Luncheon
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (August 3, 2009) -- Gary Resnick, Chair of the Communications, Cable & Broadband practice at GrayRobinson P.A. in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. will emcee the Past Presidents Luncheon at the Florida League of Cities 83rd Annual Conference, Saturday, August 15, 2009 at the World Center Marriott in Orlando. Resnick is currently President of the Broward County League of Cities and Mayor for the City of Wilton Manors in Broward County. "I'm humbled by my selection to serve as the master of ceremonies for what will be a very special and rewarding occasion where so many great leaders from our communities will be present," said Resnick. "Since I recently assumed the role of President for the Broward League of cities, I'm looking forward to celebrating the achievements of those who have come before me and being inspired by their civic contributions." The Florida League of Cities Annual Conference welcomes more than 1,000 elected city officials from across the State, and is a venue for networking, sharing ideas, and professional development through participation in educational workshops, sessions, and related activities. The 2009 conference program has been adapted to include more educational sessions, specifically those that equip participants with immediate tools for success and address many of the challenges city officials are facing as a result of the downturned economy. One event not re-worked for 2009 is the signature Past Presidents Luncheon where Resnick will serve as master of ceremonies and guide guests through a wonderful program celebrating Florida League of Cities past presidents. In addition, current Florida League of Cities President and Village of Wellington Mayor Dr. Carmine A. Priore will address guests and perform the induction ceremony for new Florida League of Cities President and City of Tallahassee Mayor John Marks. "GrayRobinson is proud of the talent Gary Resnick brings to the firm each and every day and applauds his ability to share that knowledge with his community through his commitment to organizations such as the League of Cities," said GrayRobinson President Byrd F. "Biff" Marshall. "At GrayRobinson, attorneys are encouraged to be active in their communities while maintaining the firm's values; Gary's work is a prime example of the quality work produced by our team of skilled attorneys." ###
