GrayRobinson Hires McCormick as New Shareholder in Litigation Practice

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (June 29, 2009) -- GrayRobinson, P.A. today announced that William G. McCormick has joined the firm's Fort Lauderdale office as a Shareholder - his addition contributes to the continued expansion of GrayRobinson's business in south Florida. With more than 12 years of experience, McCormick's primary practice areas concentrate his diverse litigation practice in construction, land use and real estate related matters, as well as general commercial litigation.

Prior to joining GrayRobinson, McCormick was partner at Ruden McClosky in Fort Lauderdale, a Florida-based law firm, where his practice as a land use, real estate and commercial litigator in state and federal trial and appellate courts provided significant experience. McCormick has represented owners and contractors in construction defect, construction lien and delay claims, in addition to representing homeowners and condominium associations in covenant enforcement, assessment collection and general association governance issues.

McCormick is a graduate from St. Thomas University School of Law where he earned his J.D. (1997; magna cum laude), and a graduate from the University of Florida where he earned his B.S.B.A. (1991). In addition, McCormick has bar admissions in Florida and the District of Columbia, and is a member of the Broward County Bar Association, Dean's Board of Advisors at St. Thomas University School of Law, The Florida Bar, and the American Bar Association.
