    MIAMI, FL – May 25, 2012 – The Colombian Government has invited GrayRobinson, P.A. attorneys Peter Quinter and Melissa Groisman Steinfeld to present the requirements of the U.S.-Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement (COTPA), which went into effect on May 15, 2012. The Colombian Government, through its international trade promotion agency, Proexport Colombia, has coordinated seminars in Bogota, Barranquilla, Cali and Medellin from May 31 - June 1.

    "Trade between the U.S. and Colombia is growing exponentially," said Peter Quinter, a Shareholder at GrayRobinson. "We represent companies who have already benefitted from other free trade agreements, including the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the Andean Trade Preferences Drug Eradication Act (ATPDEA)."

    During the seminars, Quinter and Groisman will advise manufacturers in the cosmetic, building materials, electrical and electronic products and medical equipment sectors on how to meet the necessary requirements to enter the U.S. market, in terms of customs requirements and FDA regulations.     Quinter leads the firm's Customs and International Trade Law Group, and is a Florida Bar Board Certified attorney in International Law. Quinter has substantial experience providing legal advice and representation to persons and companies in all matters involving the administration and enforcement of international trade and U.S. Customs law.

    As an attorney in GrayRobinson's Customs and International Trade Law Group, Groisman represents both domestic and multinational corporations in matters arising before U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), as well as numerous other Federal agencies including the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). She is a native Spanish speaker and fluent in Hebrew.
