    MIAMI, FL - August 8, 2013 - As one of Greater Miami's most important and respected executives in the trade and logistics industry, Peter A. Quinter, Shareholder and Chair of the Customs & International Trade Law Group at GrayRobinson, P.A., was appointed to a new group formed by The Beacon Council: The One Community/One Goal Trade and Logistics Leadership Group. This Group is tasked with charting the future of Miami's trade and logistics industry, including providing recommendations on U.S. Customs laws, policies, and procedures, and has rallied top leaders from the business, education and government leaders to create new jobs and economic vitality for Greater Miami.

    Mr. Quinter principally represents persons and companies involved in international trade and transportation, including litigation in the Federal courts located in Florida and the U.S. Court of International Trade in New York. Florida Bar Board Certified in International Law, he was appointed by the Florida Bar to the International Law Certification Committee. Mr. Quinter served as legal counsel at the Southeast Regional Headquarters of the United States Customs Service (now known as U.S. Customs and Border Protection) in Miami, Florida. He provided assistance to the U.S. Department of Justice in civil and criminal prosecutions on a variety of customs violations, including commercial fraud, trade embargoes, and export controls.
