Biography

Nate is a shareholder in the firm’s Tampa office. He focuses his practice on management-side labor and employment matters for private and public-sector clients.

Nate has experience representing clients in litigation in federal court, state court, arbitration, and administrative tribunals on a variety of labor and employment related matters, including Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Equal Pay Act, employment contract disputes, employment torts, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Florida Civil Rights Act, the Florida Minimum Wage Act, the Florida Public Employees Relations Act, the Florida public and private sector whistleblower laws, the Florida Public Records Act, the Florida School Code, the Florida and United States Constitution, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, the National Labor Relations Act, Section 1983, and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act. In addition, Nate advises clients on day-to-day human resources matters, engages in collective bargaining, conducts internal investigations on harassment and other matters, and provides trainings.

Background

Nate was born and raised in Naples, Florida. After graduating from Naples High School, Nate attended the University of South Carolina (USC) where he majored in Chemistry. He received his degree of Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, from USC in 2006.

For law school, Nate attended Florida State University College of Law (FSU). Nate received his degree of Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from FSU in 2010. During law school, Nate was a member of the Florida State University Law Review, a teaching assistant for a Legal Writing and Research class, and the recipient of six book awards.

Following law school, Nate joined Thompson, Sizemore, Gonzalez & Hearing, P.A. (TSGH), a labor and employment boutique with a statewide reputation for its labor and employment practice in the public and private sector. In December 2016, he was promoted to a partner at TSGH. The attorneys of TSGH joined GrayRobinson in April 2019.

Nate resides in Tampa and is an active member of the community.
