Rex E. Moule, B.C.S. Attorney At Law

Rex has practiced law in Melbourne, Florida, since 1976, exclusively in the areas of estate planning, trusts and estates, where he counsels clients in simple and complex estates; forms entities to carry out estate plans, such as revocable and irrevocable trusts, limited partnerships, limited liability companies, charitable trusts, foundations, grantor-retained annuity trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, and intentionally defective grantor trusts; and advises clients on the minimization of estate and gift taxes.

Rex received his bachelor of arts from Vanderbilt University, his juris doctor from Stetson University College of Law and his master of laws in taxation from the University of Miami School of Law. He is board certified by The Florida Bar as a specialist in wills, trusts and estates law and also board certified by The Florida Bar as a specialist in tax law.  Rex has been awarded the highest accolade, an AV rating, by Martindale-Hubbell.  He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. Courts of Appeal. Rex has been selected by his peers from 2012-2018 to be included in The Best Lawyers in America.

He is a member of the Executive Council of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar, where he serves on the Probate Law and Procedure Committee, Trust Law Committee, Asset Protection Committee, Estate and Trust Tax Committee, and Ad Hoc Committee on the Treatment of Life Insurance Payable to a Revocable Trust. Rex also is the immediate past chair of the Advance Directives and HIPAA Committee and the immediate past vice chair of the IRA, Insurance and Employee Benefits Committee for the Executive Council. He is the author of "Fixing Your Broken HIPAA," "IRAs Can Be Hazardous to an Estate Administration," "The Times They Are A-Changin': Trust Modifications From a Planner's Perspective," and "Beneficiary Trust Rules for IRAs," which were published by The Florida Bar Continuing Legal Education Committee. He was program chair of The Florida Bar Continuing Legal Education Committee seminar "When Good Estates Go Bad: Dealing with Unexpected Issues in Probate" and co-chair of the estate planning seminar, "And You Thought Estate Planning Was Easy?" Rex was also selected to be a speaker for the 2013 Wills, Trusts and Estates Board Certification Review program presented by The Florida Bar.

Rex is past vice chair of the 18th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee for The Florida Bar (receiving the Meritorious Public Service Award from The Florida Bar), present board member of the Brevard Heart Foundation, past chair of the Small Business Council of the Chamber of Commerce of South Brevard, present member of the Brevard County Estate Planning Council, past chair of the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee for the 18th judicial circuit, past treasurer of the Space Coast Science Center, past member of the Development Council for Holmes Regional Medical Center (now Health First) and past board member of the Community Foundation of Brevard.
