Food Law Attorney Anna Wiand and Alcohol Attorney Hannah Becker to Present at Stetson University College of Law

TAMPA, FL – October 24, 2016 – Food Law Attorney Anna M. Wiand, and Alcohol Attorney Hannah Becker, both Associates in GrayRobinson’s Tampa law firm office, will present to the Stetson University College of Law Food Law Society on "The Current State of Labeling Requirements Both on Packaged Food Products and Restaurant Menus." The presentation will take place on October 27, 2016 beginning at noon, at the Stetson campus in Gulfport. The presentation will focus on the FDA’s new labeling requirements.  Wiand and Becker will discuss the new requirements for chain restaurants and vending machines in addition to the agency's recent changes to the Nutrition Facts Label, recommended serving sizes, and labeling requirements for certain package sizes.

The Stetson University College of Law Food Law Society provides a forum for students who are interested in issues of food law and policy. The goals of this organization are to promote awareness of the legal and policy approaches regarding these issues in the hopes of protecting the safety of the food supply and illuminating the process of food production. The society’s activities include general discussion of the issues and providing opportunities for students to engage with professionals in the fields of food law and policy.
