Christopher Dawson Brings Dance Marathon to Central Florida

ORLANDO, FL – June 1, 2016 – Christopher Dawson, associate in GrayRobinson’s Orlando law firm office, founded Central Florida’s Dance Marathon. Dance Marathon is a nationwide movement that involves college and high school students at more than 250 schools across the country, all raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in their community. These students spend a year learning invaluable leadership and life skills while raising funds and interacting with children’s hospital patients and families. The year culminates with a 12-40 hour long event where the students stay on their feet through dancing, games and entertainment in celebration of the total amount raised that year.

The first marathon will take place June 4th, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. - 5 :00 p.m. at the World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida. All proceeds benefit local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The participants will stand for 13.1 hours to "dance for those who can’t." Learn how to get involved with Dance Marathon and register for the event here.

During his time in school, Dawson was very active in Dance Marathon. At the University of Florida he participated in the Dance Marathon benefitting Shands Children’s Hospital and at the University of Alabama he served as adviser for their Dance Marathon benefitting Children’s Hospital of Alabama.
