MIAMI, FL – December 17, 2015 – Attorney Peter Quinter, shareholder and chair of the Customs and International Law Trade Law Group in GrayRobinson’s Miami and Fort Lauderdale law firm offices, will present at the Atlanta International Forwarders & Brokers Association (AIFBA) meeting on January 12, 2016, in Atlanta, Georgia. His presentation will discuss how to handle an investigation by the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). He will also discuss voluntary self-disclosures to BIS, OFAC and the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) for export violations, as well as, discuss policies and procedures to successfully resolving penalty cases with BIS. Quinter will also list the do’s and dont’s in petitioning U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) Fines, Penalties and Forfeitures Office. AIFBA assists its members by working with Federal agencies to better facilitate legitimate cargo movement without delay. Register to attend the AIFBA January meeting.
