Gary I. Resnick Presents at ACLP’s AdvancedComm Summit Panel

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – January 23, 2014 – Gary I. Resnick, a shareholder in the Fort Lauderdale office of GrayRobinson, served on a panel at the Advanced Communications Law and Policy Institute at New York Law School on January 15-17, 2014, in New York City. Resnick presented on Florida's model for communications regulations as compared to New York's and other models around the country. Panelists noted strong differences in regulatory, consumer protection and tax policies and discussed how these may impact IP transition, broadband adoption and other current hot topics in the communications industry. 

Resnick is a longstanding member of the Federal Communications Commission’s Intergovernmental Advisory Committee. He concentrates his practice in the representation of local governments and private clients in government and regulatory affairs, communications and cable law, utilities, and use of rights-of-way. Prior to joining GrayRobinson, he was the director of law and public policy for MediaOne, one of the nation's largest cable and broadband companies, and was responsible for, among other things, its legal, regulatory, and Florida and federal government affairs programs.
