Three GrayRobinson Shareholders Present at The Florida Bar International Law Section Conference

MIAMI, FL - January 2, 2014 - Peter A. Quinter, Shareholder and Chair of the Customs and International Trade Law Group at GrayRobinson, P.A., Brian H. Bieber, a Shareholder at GrayRobinson, P.A. and Ileana M. Espinosa Christianson, a Shareholder at GrayRobinson, P.A., will be panelists at The Florida Bar International Law Section’s "2014 International Business Transactions Conference and 12th International Litigation and Arbitration Conference" on February 27-28, 2014. Quinter and Bieber’s panel will cover the topic of "International Trade and Customs Law 2013" while Christianson’s panel will cover "Cross-Border Insolvency: Recognizing Caribbean Liquidations."

Quinter principally represents persons and companies involved in international trade and transportation, including litigation in the Federal courts located in Florida and the U.S. Court of International Trade in New York. Florida Bar Board Certified in International Law, he was appointed by the Florida Bar to the International Law Certification Committee. He served as legal counsel at the Southeast Regional Headquarters of the United States Customs Service (now known as U.S. Customs and Border Protection) in Miami, Florida. He provides legal advice and representation to companies  and individuals in civil and criminal prosecutions on a variety of customs violations, including alleged free trade agreements, trade embargoes, and export controls. In addition, he has been recognized for his experience and leadership in several peer review and other ratings. 

Bieber’s practice focuses on criminal and civil white collar defense litigation (both high profile and extremely confidential) for corporate executives, prominent clients, ordinary citizens, as well as small, midsized and major multimillion-dollar businesses, in all federal and state courts at the trial and appellate levels. He concentrates on the defense of banking, bankruptcy, computer, health care, insurance, mail, mortgage, pharmaceutical, real estate, tax, wire and other types of fraud. He also represents individuals and corporations involved in grand jury investigations. Bieber is a member of the Dade County Bar Association, The Florida Bar Criminal Law Section, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is also a director and sits on the board of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and is a fellow of the prestigious American Board of Criminal Lawyers.

Christianson is a past president of the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida ("BBA"). She served as student body president for both Boston College Law School and the University of Miami. She was the recipient of the BC Law "Most Outstanding Graduate Award for Scholarly Achievements and Contributions." The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation named her a "Top 40 under 40" outstanding lawyer, and the Daily Business Review recently named her a "Rising Star." She was also awarded the "Pro Se Clinic Bono Award" by Legal Aid and Put Something Back for instituting clinics to provide free bankruptcy advice to pro se litigants. She currently serves as president of the BC Law Alumni Council Florida Chapter and chairs the BBA’s Credit Abuse Resistance Education financial literacy program for students.
