Community Leader Forum – Jacksonville – Don Fox, CEO of Firehouse of America, LLC

Enjoying a delicious sub sandwich does not normally translate into saving lives, but with Firehouse Subs’ commitment to helping public safety organizations it can. Firehouse of America, LLC CEO Don Fox recently shared the company’s philosophy on how investment in the community has helped shape its success as one of the best franchises in the country.

Speaking at GrayRobinson’s May 1st Community Leader Forum at the River Club in Jacksonville, home to Firehouse Subs headquarters, Fox shared the company’s "Subs Story" with business heads,  revealing how their approach to franchising and giving back has cemented its financial success and skyrocketed growth. Founded by two firefighters, Firehouse Subs is dedicated to improving the life-saving capabilities of all emergency services, with funding, resources, and direct support to those who need it most. With the 2005 establishment of its non-profit Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, Firehouse Subs has given over $6 million in equipment and resources to Police, Fire, and EMS Departments across the country.

The commitment of brothers Chris and Robin Sorensen has helped the business expand from its first sandwich sold in 1994 in Jacksonville, FL to over 600 restaurants in 35 states and Puerto Rico. With its spirit of philanthropy, quality food, commendable service, and smart strategic planning, Firehouse Subs has the right recipe for longevity and success.
