Held May 16, 2012 at the Melbourne Rialto Hilton, the Community Leader Forum featured a discussion on Embraer Executive Aircraft's commitment to Brevard County. In 2008, Embraer selected the Melbourne International Airport, in Melbourne, Florida, to be the site of a new 150,000 square feet final assembly facility for the Phenom 100 and 300 Executive Jets. The US $50 million plant was the first for Embraer in the U.S. In spite of the recession, Embraer has experienced steady sales of its executive aircrafort Krull discussed plans for the Embraer Engineering and Technology Center USA as part of its growing aeronautical cluster in Melbourne, Florida. The new facility will mean about 200 new jobs in Melbourne over the next five years.
