Biography

Brian represents both private and public sector employers in all types of employment litigation matters including discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, breach of employment contract, class and collective actions, and the various tort theories plaintiffs are using currently under federal, state or local law including Title VII, Florida Civil Rights Act, Fair Labor Standard Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act.

Brian also spends time counseling clients on avoiding expensive and time-consuming litigation. He provides guidance on reductions-in-force, severance agreements, restrictive covenants, the establishment of internal policies and procedures, trade secrets and non-competition arrangements.  He also offers advice in the areas of the Americans With Disabilities Act, company discipline and discharge policies, employment agreements, employee drug testing programs, and employee handbooks.

Background

Brian was born and raised in Buffalo, New York.  In 1997, he received his undergraduate degree in accounting from Baldwin-Wallace College in Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to joining GrayRobinson, he worked for six years in various positions within the Retirement Plan Services department of a large financial institution. During that time, he handled the daily administration of qualified employer plans as well as the annual nondiscrimination testing and government reporting. Brian moved to Orlando and joined GrayRobinson as a paralegal in the Employee Benefits section. Shortly thereafter, Brian began attending Barry University School of Law part time while he continued to work full time at GrayRobinson.
