Marlene Quintana Receives CABA Presidential Award

MIAMI, FL – February 2, 2015 – Marlene Quintana, a shareholder at GrayRobinson P.A., was honored at the 2015 Cuban American Bar Association (CABA) Benefit Gala and Board Installation Dinner with the CABA Presidential Award. CABA’s Presidential Award recognizes community leaders who passionately support CABA’s initiatives.

"Marlene Quintana exemplifies leadership in its absolute sense.  She is a natural mentor and left an indelible mark on CABA and forever deepened the substance of its mission by instituting, among many other innovations, the mentoring program, which continues to be one of CABA's most significant successes," said current CABA President Manuel L. Crespo.

As a community advocate, Quintana launched the Cuban American Bar Association’s first mentoring program over a decade ago for which she received the "Power of One" Mentoring Award in 2013. Additional leadership roles in the South Florida Hispanic community include directing the University of Miami School of Law Alumni Association and serving as gala chair and sitting on the board of directors of Miami Bridge. She has been recognized for her many contributions to the Hispanic community and was named "Hispanic Woman of Distinction" in 2010. Most recently she was selected as a "2014 Florida Most Powerful and Influential Woman Award" recipient by The Florida Diversity Council.

With over 18 years of legal experience, Quintana has sustained a record of impressive accomplishments by providing strategic direction and legal counsel on a range of labor and employment law matters for both private and public sector employers. She is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Labor and Employment Law, a Certified Circuit Civil Mediator and former Chair of the Eleventh Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Quintana has extensive experience in labor arbitrations, collective bargaining and related union issues, day-to-day client counseling and problem solving, policies and procedures and employment-related training.
