Orlando, Fla. – July 27, 2020 – Christopher T. Dawson, shareholder and government consultant in GrayRobinson’s Orlando and Tallahassee law firm offices, has been selected to serve on Leadership Florida’s newly established Special Council on Equity, Equality and Justice. In this role, Dawson will play a part in developing a strategy to encourage dialogue and convenings to learn more about issues involving social injustice, racial bias and discrimination, encourage the establishment of safe spaces for members to communicate and share with each other, encourage individual action and practice, continue to provide content-rich presentations at Leadership Florida Class programs, and provide content-rich presentations on a statewide level during the year for all members. He will play an integral role in working with Leadership Florida’s Steering Committee to ensure the effort is appropriately programmed and implemented across all sectors and Leadership Florida regions.
Dawson is highly involved in Leadership Florida, participating in the East Region Council, the Team London Task Force, and the Selection Committee. In 2012 he was accepted into College Leadership Florida Class XIV and in 2019 he was a member of the Annual Meeting Committee.
