TALLAHASSEE, FL – December 16, 2019 – GrayRobinson's Government Affairs & Lobbying practice group released its weekly GRay Matters Session newsletter, "2020 Session: Committee Week 6.” The newsletter states the final committee week wasn’t action packed but there were a few bills that brought out some “chippiness” on the committees that heard them. One of the biggest movements, as stated in the newsletter, was the advancement of a Senate bill repealing the “Best and Brightest” teacher bonus program. The “Florida House of Representatives” section covers the Sadowski fund, and the “Florida Senate” section covers Rob Bradley’s continued push for sentencing reforms for nonviolent drug offenders. The newsletter closes with the “Looking Ahead” section which anticipates the start of the 2020 Legislative Session on January 14. Read more here.
