MIAMI, FL – January 22, 2019 - GrayRobinson’s customs attorney Peter Quinter, chair of the firm’s U.S. Customs and International Trade Law practice group, located in the Miami law firm and Fort Lauderdale law firm offices, authored “In My View, Nobody Wins a Trade War,” published by the Miami Herald.

In his article, Quinter highlights the negative effects of the trade war on the U.S. The majority of items Americans use on a daily basis, from their cellphones to their cars, are made in China. While some companies may change to source products from Mexico or other countries, for the others the combination of price and quality is simply not competitively available in countries other than China. The higher tariffs will lead to high prices, reducing the number of purchases on many products. This is especially evident with the slowing Chinese and U.S. economies.
