    MIAMI, FL  Aug. 23, 2018  GrayRobinson, P.A. announced today that Steven J. Solomon, Shareholder in the bankruptcy practice, has been named Miami Managing Director and Marlene Quintana, Shareholder in the employment and labor practice, has been named Statewide Recruiting Director.

    GrayRobinson’s Miami office consists of over 40 attorneys and professionals, making it the Firm’s second largest office after its headquarters in Orlando. Steven Solomon joined GrayRobinson’s Miami team in 2009 and has been a practicing bankruptcy attorney for over 25 years. Born and raised in Miami, he has a keen understanding of the market, and a passion for the culture of the office and the Firm’s South Florida clients.

    Leading GrayRobinson’s growth efforts throughout the State of Florida is a priority for newly appointed Statewide Recruiting Director, Marlene Quintana. In this role, Quintana will serve to strategically develop and support the Firm’s recruiting program. Quintana’s experience with recruiting for GrayRobinson in a less formal way has equipped her with best practices and an understanding of what advantages ultimately motivate attorneys to come practice at GrayRobinson.

    Solomon has extensive experience in business bankruptcy Chapter 11, out-of-court workouts, restructuring law and representing fiduciaries. He has represented various constituents in bankruptcy cases, receiverships, assignments for the benefit of creditors and out-of-court workout matters. He has been recognized by such industry publications as Martindale-Hubbell, U.S. News and World Report Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA, Florida Super Lawyers and Florida Trend. Solomon is a member of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors, the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida, and Florida Blue Key. He serves on the board of directors for the Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired and chairs the external relations committee and is involved in service at his temple, acting as treasurer on the executive board and management committee. Solomon graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.

    Quintana is board certified in Labor & Employment Law by The Florida Bar and represents private and public sector employers in both labor and employment law matters. With strong political connections, she has also served as a lobbyist and government relations advisor to a diverse group of clients that include nonprofit advocacy organizations and national corporations. More than a decade ago, she launched the Cuban American Bar Association’s (CABA) first mentoring program and later served as President of CABA. She chaired the Eleventh Judicial Nominating Commission and currently serves as President of Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services. Quintana has received numerous accolades for her achievements, including recognition as a Hispanic Woman of Distinction and recipient of the Cuban American Bar Association Presidential Award. She has been named to HispanicBusiness’ 50 Influentials List, is a recipient of the Diversity Council’s Most Powerful and Influential Woman Award for Florida, and has been recognized in industry publications such as Chambers USA and U.S. News and World Report Best Lawyers in America in which she was named Lawyer of the Year for Employment Law – Management in 2019. She has also been recognized in the South Florida Legal Guide, Florida Trend and Florida Super Lawyers. Quintana graduated from the University of Miami with a bachelor’s degree in communications and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law.
