TAMPA, FL – May 30, 2018 – Richard M. Blau, shareholder and chair of GrayRobinson’s alcohol beverage law, food law and medical marijuana law practices, discusses the recent request for Governor Rick Scott to drop the smokable medical marijuana appeal in an article published by Law360. Blau explains that this case poses a bigger question of what is the appropriate standard of review for the government’s regulatory decisions, stating “I understand the zeal and passion of advocates who would like to see utilization of medical marijuana expanded to include smoking, but I am also very much aware of the legitimate concerns raised by the legislature and the Department of Health when the decision was made to create a regulatory structure that did not include smoking medical marijuana.” To read the full article, please visit Law360's website.
