    TAMPA, FL – April 9, 2018 GrayRobinson announced today that shareholder Alissa McKee Ellison was appointed to the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court bench by Governor Rick Scott on Friday, April 6th.

    “We’re very proud of Alissa,” said Mayanne Downs, GrayRobinson’s president and managing director. “We know she is the perfect candidate to serve the Tampa community as a judge.”

    Ellison was a member of GrayRobinson’s Appellate, Litigation, Class-Action Defense and Banking and Finance Practice Groups, where she represented financial institutions and other clients in contract Uniform Commercial Code matters, with an emphasis on class-action and appellate work, including over 20 successful appellate cases.

    Before she joined GrayRobinson, Alissa clerked at the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit and for the Honorable Barbara Fleischer and the Honorable Debra Behnke. In 2016, she was named an “Up and Comer” by the Tampa Bay Business Journal in the Under 40 category. She serves on the board of directors of Tampa-based Glazer Children’s Museum. Ellison earned her law degree with honors from Stetson University College of Law.
