GrayRobinson Welcomes Beth Goldberg to Nationwide Alcohol Industry Team

MIAMI, Fla. – January 18, 2018 – GrayRobinson, P.A. announces the addition of former alcohol industry regulator Beth Goldberg as the newest member of the firm’s Nationwide Alcohol Industry Team. Goldberg capped her regulatory career spanning three decades, most recently serving as Assistant Director for the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC). Her experience ran the gamut from field investigations to directing and overseeing the licensing, enforcement and administrative functions of 12 field offices, as well as specialized units in the California ABC’s Southern California division.

GrayRobinson’s Nationwide Industry Team includes a broad range of federal as well as state former regulators who serve clients as alcohol compliance consultants. Working side-by-side with the team’s dedicated lawyers and licensing specialists, these professionals bring to the table more than 250 years of combined experience regulating and providing regulatory technical advice to the distilled spirits, wine, beer, tobacco, firearms and explosives industries.

"The alcohol business is one of the most heavily regulated industries in America, and trade practice issues at the federal, state and even local levels make it one of the most challenging industries in terms of helping clients operate in compliance with the myriad of laws that regulate their activities," said Richard M. Blau, head of GrayRobinson’s Nationwide Alcohol Industry Team. "Our Team is comprised of valued professionals with deep roots in the industry who not only understand the relevant laws that require compliance, but also the enforcement policies applied by the relevant agencies charged with administering those laws. Beth is the perfect example of a well-respected industry professional with extensive institutional knowledge and strong regulatory relationships to bring to the table for the benefit of our clients."

As an integral member of the executive staff for the California ABC, Goldberg gained valuable experience in licensing, enforcement and trade practice, as well as government processes, administration and fiscal management. She was involved in policy and procedure development and implementation, and ensuring its consistent statewide application.

Goldberg is the most recent addition to a team of more than 25 lawyers, former regulators and licensing specialists who focus their professional skills on serving the legal and compliance needs of alcohol industry members throughout North America.
