FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – September 2, 2017 – Attorney Gary I. Resnick, shareholder in GrayRobinson’s Fort Lauderdale law firm office, chair of the firm’s Communications, Cable and Broadband Law practice group and Mayor of Wilton Manors, FL, received the Jane E. Lawton Commemorative Award from the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) at its national conference in Seattle. NATOA presents the award annually to an elected official to recognize extraordinary service in the area of broadband and communications on behalf of local governments and communities throughout the United States. It was created in memory of The Honorable Jane E. Lawton, who served as Mayor of Chevy Chase, Maryland, delegate to the Maryland State House and president of NATOA. NATOA is a professional association that provides support to its members on the many local, state and federal communications laws, administrative rulings, judicial decisions and technology issues impacting the interests of local governments.
