MIAMI, FL – March 6, 2017 – GrayRobinson announced today that former Florida Third District Court of Appeal Judge Frank A. Shepherd has joined the firm as a shareholder in its Miami office.
Having spent more than a decade on the bench and having authored more than 500 published opinions, Frank Shepherd will focus his practice on appellate-related legal matters at the firm. He will also assist members of the litigation practice with issues, including trial support.

Frank Shepherd began his legal career as an attorney in private practice in Miami, and has also served the public as Associate Administrator for Legal Counsel and Enforcement for the United States Environmental Protection Agency. He has been recognized by the state of Florida for his advocacy work with the Miami-Dade County Guardian ad Litem program on behalf of Florida’s abused, abandoned and neglected children, and has been lauded by local Latin community leaders for his help establishing the first Cuban-exile-owned radio station in South Florida. Frank Shepherd received his bachelor of arts degree, cum laude, from the University of Florida in 1968. In 1970, he received a master of arts degree in government from the University of Massachusetts and he was awarded his juris doctor from the University of Michigan Law School in 1972.
