ORLANDO, FL – December 30, 2016 – Attorney and lobbyist Christopher T. Dawson, associate in GrayRobinson’s Orlando law firm office, was re-appointed as overall chair for Florida Miracle’s Central Florida Dance Marathon. Dawson is also founder of Central Florida’s Dance Marathon, bringing the first-ever Dance Marathon event to Central Florida which took place June 4, 2016. He has been involved with the charity since his time at the University of Florida.
Dance Marathon is a nationwide movement that involves college and high school students at more than 250 schools across the country, all raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in their community. These students spend a year learning invaluable leadership and life skills while raising funds and interacting with children’s hospital patients and families. The year concludes with a 12-40 hour long event where the students stay on their feet through dancing, games and entertainment in celebration of the total amount raised that year.
The next Central Florida Dance Marathon event will take place in June 2017 and Dawson will serve as co-chair for the event. Updates for the event will be posted to the Central Florida Dance Marathon’s website.
